I visited a coffee farming village high up in mountain, Santa Elena, Honduras.
During my 4 weeks stay, I painted a large mural with young new painters and shared sewing and paper flower making with women.
Little children came to play with Origami and I demonstrated Japanese Tea Ceremony.
I took three large suitcases full of art, sewing and paper flower materials to host workshops because they don’t have access to many materials there.
The village is very isolated and the nearest and small city is one hour away down the mountain, people walk so many miles for hours to get to their destinations.
I painted a large mural with young painters.
"Most likely, these children will become coffee farmers, but they can also have big dreams" the coffee middleman says.
He and his wife created an art space where these children can make art in their spare time helping the family farm and schooling. One boy's dream is to go to art school in the capital city, Tegucigalpa.
Women and I created embroidered Amulets filled with organic lavenders that can be necklaces or hanging objects.
Amulets are sold on my Webshop and all the profit goes straight to the women.

There was a window and cage right in the middle of the wall, I wanted to use the space to create a place where people are free to put offerings especially during their spring festival. The flower ornament would stay inside the cage the whole time. There is enough space for candles and offering and that is why I named it
